St. Patrick’s National School is a co-educational, Catholic Primary School under the Patronage of the Bishop of Clonfert. The staff work in partnership with the Board of Management, parents and the wider community.
This school strives to provide a caring, safe and happy environment where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and nurtured.

While St. Patrick’s N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition for all other religions.
St. Patrick’s N.S. will strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.
St. Patrick’s N.S. will encourage the involvement of parents through home/school contacts and through their involvement in St. Patrick’s N.S. Parents Association and attendance at Parent Teacher Meetings.
St. Patrick’s N.S. will endeavour to enhance the self esteem of everyone in the school community, to encourage in the pupils respect for people and property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible.

Ethos:
St. Patrick’s NS is a co-educational Catholic National School under the patronage of the Bishop of Galway, Kilfenora and Kilmacduagh,& Bishop of Clonfert. Together with the Board of Management, the parents and the parish community, we provide Religious Education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, and prepare them for the reception of the sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation. We promote the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith in a manner that is welcoming to and inclusive of the presence of pupils committed to other religious traditions and none. Our Christian ethos also informs our actions, attitudes and practices on a day-to-day basis.
